Pro Skid into a IQ chassis

If you can find a complete set up forsale, and sell the old one too off set the cost, it might be.

Is there any advantage to doing this aside from the weight savings from eliminating the torsion springs?

He says the rear handles like a pro and doesn't trench like it used the IQ suspension did. He picked up a skid in the classifieds for $400 with 300 miles on it.

It is a great upgrade. Made my dragon gets on top of the snow much better plus it sheds a bunch of weight.

All you need to do is take the two torque arm shafts and their bolts from your iq skid and stick them in the torque arms of the pro skid. They are the same diameter shafts.

Its a direct fit! We did it for a customer a couple weeks ago. Increases float. Much stiffer than the iq setup, also sheds like 15 lbs off the sled. Definitely a great mod for any IQ chassis sled.

My iq is a trenching whore with the front shock layed down and straps at mid.

Two pros pulled me out today. My sled trenched a bigger hole than both of those pros combined when they towed me out.

Hate it! Can't slow down at all in the trees or I'm stuck.

The pros get on the snow so easy... So if this skid does the same trick I would say buy one if you can. Me, I am buying a 163 pro or a 144 assault and never going back to the mountains.

if we are looking to buy one do we need to get the 13? or will a 12 work? also what shocks are the better i cant remember right now. Thanks

Put a 2012 155 skid in my wifes 700 mid season last year. Been an awesome sled. Had a buddy borrow it yesterday, rode all day with snow over the hood.

I would almost say it trenches less then my PRO.... probably due to the slightly lower track speed.

It gets up on the snow almost as good as the pro, and soooooo much better then with the stock skid in it.

When I installed it I dropped the front mount hole about 1/2" down and back and left the rear in the stock hole.

No issues in over 400 miles

I was just getting ready to ask if a Holz rear skid would get my IQ to work as good as a Pro does in the snow, but this sounds like it could be a more economical route.
