Pro RMK questions

First question is, what is the best belt for the RMK? Is it the 1115? If it is where is best place to get them? Local dealer at 200 a pop seems like I'm getting raped a bit.
Also where is best place to get a spare quick drive belt?

Last question is. Does anyone know where I can get the little strap that has little screw to hold kill switch to handle bars? It's a little black strap that clips onto kill switch to hold to handle bars the screws onto other side. I broke that strap last year. Kill switch is ok just missing the strap.

I have run a couple 1115 belts and a couple of 0627-048 Cat belts. The Cat belt is under $90 most places. I like the Cat belt better, lasts about the same for me (500-600 miles) but is less than half the price. It is a direct swap.

For the QD belt, just make sure you get the '14 and up version as they are stronger than the '13 version. The key to QD belt life is to do the break in as directed. Suffer through 100 miles at 30 mph and you are unlikely to have a QD belt problem. With proper break in my '13 belt went 1100 hard miles last season. The first '13 belt on the machine, which I pretty much ignored the break in on, lasted 150 miles. Do the break in!

Hey man, are you sure AC belt is DIRECT swap for OEM - it means no belt to sheave clearance adjustment needed?

I ran my AC belt for the end of the 2012-13 season and the whole 2013-14 season last year.

Probably got 1000 miles on it.

The AC belt requires an adjustment to the secondary sheaves. Two minute adjustment. The belt bevel is not exact.

I use Dayco XTX belts. For me, they last just as long as 1115 belts for half the price.

Get the plastic thingy at your local dealer.

get a kill switch strap for an XP. they are like $4 from the Skidoo dealer. The Polaris switch will slide right into it and then you can also reposition it so the darn thing isn't facing up where I always hit it with my wrist.

I pulled the switch out of the mount on my 11 Pro and moved it down in front of the handle bars. you had to just reach under and around to kill it.
Only had it get hit once after that. Bashing through some trees and had a branch hit it. Used to hit it all the time before I moved it.
