It appears that I'll need to get ugly with this Pro, in order to fog it. Does anyone have an "easy" way to do it that I'm missing? Thanks

I'm wondering the same thing, I'm about to put er away for the summer.

I tried that. The motor really didn't pull down much, leading me to believe that I was just filling the lower airbox with fogging oil with not much making it into the motor. Probably going to have to bite the bullet and pull the airbox, which appears to be a PIA on these things.

Can you just remove the hood/intake assembly, and spray fogging oil right down the intake?

Gotcha. I have had that problem in the past. Some fogging oils spray a much finer mist than others. The thicker ones don't like to get sucked through the air box, but some that spray a finer mist will get through there. The stuff I have that used that works well for getting through airboxes is Gold Eagle fogging oil. Its a black and gold spray can. Maybe that will work without having to remove the air box.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. If I can't locate it locally, I'll try your link.

Historically I have always pulled the airbox, so this is a new issue for me...

I wasn't aware that Deep Creep was also a fogging oil. The long tube is a good thing. I'll check into it. Thanks!

Sorry for slow response

DC14 ## Deep Creep

SF16 ## for Can Of Sea Foam..

...

Also.. you can go in from the primary side and move oil lever to full throttle.. with mechanic wire..

PS.. Be Carefull!! Primary is going to be spinning when running!!!

Or, just use whatever oil ya like and get some tiny 1/8 fuel line or vac hose. Ziptie it or electrical tape it to the extension of the can. And you're good to go!

Only thing I like about the new ski-doo etec, hit 3 buttons and the sled fog's itself :faint: Maybe Poo will set it up for 13' ?

No way! That's actually really cool....makes sense, too, since it's just a computer program that would be able to do it. No extra weight, no extra components, just a computer program residing in the ECU waiting for execution...

Smart!!

i'm doing my etec this weekend, it seems like a cool idea but i was told you have to have the dealer take it out of fog in the fall??? i hope not.

I tried Seafoam with the long straw. I fed the straw through the air horns, aiming for the TB's. Unfortunately I achieved the same results. The motor never really pulled down and didn't hardly smoke. The air box filled with most of the Seafoam, evidenced by the puddle.

At this point I'm going to pull the top half of the airbox and remove the shelve which should give me a direct shot to the TB's. Long straw will help with that for sure.

I have no doubt this procedure worked for you. I suspect that you were able to thread the straw to the TB?

I didn't try the Golden Eagle suggested in an earlier post...

Thanks

I watched my buddy fog his Etec free ride today, You hit 3 buttons and the sled go's into high idle, then the ECU dumps 2 stroke oil into the motor till she's smoking good, then shuts off. The whole process took about 90 seconds! Pretty cool.

I agree, that is pretty cool. A potential downside is that the injection oil may not have the same anti-corrosion properties as a good fogging oil...possibly. [
