Well as most of u have read in the "what needs to be improved" thread. i was one of the first to break the carbon fiber bumper. Well went out today and put on another 35 miles today and i finished it off today. replaced the carbon tube with a piece of Alum. tube and that held fine, but it did end up breaking the brackets.

i think the only way to fix this is going to be to cut off the nub on the snow flap. IMO this is causing a lot of pressure on the bumper when wheeling. my sled hasn't had any hard tail landings or anything thing awkward like that.

Cobe makes a nice bumper for a great price... gets around the stock PRO-RMK snowflap "nub, distributes the load across the full width of the flap, and still gives you he feature of being able to grab the bumper with the tail buried... It held up to a couple of tail walking incidents last year for me.

Hey guys, I just got my Pro and was able to fit my CoBe rear bumper on it. It fits up great and just two additional holes need to be drilled plus removing the reflector. It works well with the stock ported snow flap and actually allows the flap to articulate more, therefore less drag. However, it is about 3/4 of a pound heavier than the Carbon bumper. The stock carbon bumper is cool so I am not bashing it, just offering another option.

Here are some pics plus a link to my post in swapmeet for purchasing info.

Thanks.

John

Yup I've alrdy talked with racerjb. Gave him some pictures he wanted of the broken carbon fiber one. If this alum tube held up I was just gonna run it and save money for fuel. But I barely made it 5 miles from the truck and I noticed it.

The COBE looks great, anyone used a bungie tied to one? does it hold up to pulling some one out? I got to have my snow bungie.

Pro rear bumper option

I replaced mine with a Skinz bumper from Sled Solutions ( actually kept it from my Dragon ). I've pulled at least two sleds off the mountain with this bumper without any damage or bending of bumper. The only thing I changed was that I added a couple extra bolts and larger fender washers to the backside for additional support. On this application I fabricated my own snowflap crossbar to help get my gloved hands on it. I've used Skinz front and rear bumpers on my IQ chassis and now my Pro - no complaints yet !

I have both bumpers.. The CoBe and the SPG...

Both are high quality and I could easily recommend either of them.

Hey BIGTVENTS where did you get that polaris bag on your pro ride? wouldn't happen to have part # thanks

It's a tunnel bag for a switchback, my wife has one on her 600 RMK.

This one is a little smaller but much more storage than the traditional underseat bag.
