Breaking in my new pro this weekend and the belt is squeeching. Almost looks like my belt is to tight because its not letting my clutch disengage. Just wondering how I can loosing up my clutch?

deflection is too tight
mine did this too...this is what i did:

open up the sheaves on the secondary a few turns w the L shaped clutch tool
there is a gold looking 7/16 nut on the secondary
back this off a bit (or losen it)
take a 1/8 allen wrench and turn it clockwise to open the sheaves...a small turn like 1/2 a turn or so to start
tighten up the gold looking 7/16 nut again

and ur done

also, take ur belt off and wash it hot soapy water w a bristle brush and let air dry over night
clean the faces of the clutches w some brake cleaner and soft paper towel till their clean
replace belt and check delfection again

easy peazy broski ;)

Ditto....mine did the same thing. Belt deflection was just a touch too tight, thats all it was.
Just loosen it like Enis750 said a little bit at a time, then the squeak will go away.

You can use brake cleaner, but the best is alchohol, it wont leave a residue like brake cleaner will and everything will stay cleaner in the long run:becky:

taking the sled out next weekend for my 1st ride, was looking at the manual then belt on the sled.Looks like the belt might be too tight..Does this look like the right height in the secondary?BTW i do find it hard to turn by hand so thought maybe this might be an issue...Thanks alot guys

If your going to clean the faces with any sort of cleaner spray it on a rag then wipe do not spray it on the clutch you can damage the bushings inside.

Don't go completely off the height of the cogs. Take a straight edge and lay it between the clutches and measure the slack in the belt with a slight force applied it is in your book. If your adjusting the sheeves use the L tool to open the clutches then adjust the Allen. It is. Very possible to strip out the Allen. Open with the L tools adjust the Allen remove the L tool and check. Repeat if nessacary.

That picture looks fine.... The best way to setup deflection is to jack up back of sled(get the track off the ground)
Run the sled... spin the track with the throttle... let it idle...if the track does not stop turning then it is to tight.... set it up so the track is real easy to turn by hand when idling.

You will want it setup so the track just about wants to turn at an idle.
