Pro RMK 800 clutch issue

having a 2015 pro with 500 miles and since new I have been Thru 4-5 belts... Seems a bit excessive for me... Dealer is telling me that the clutch are within specs and I verified them myself and they were ok...

Pulling the cords of the belts both sides...seems like the clutch are running too hot?

I'm tall and heavy 265pounds so maybe that could cause the overheat? Currently running stock setup for 0-3000 with 10-68 weight pulling 8050 8100

What should I look for and is there a proven setup to lower clutch temp...I have on the shelf SLP drive blue pink and Driven black purple plus 11-68 and 11-70...

You might address the helix angle and spring in your secondary clutch. The higher the helix angle the faster it upshifts. It sounds to me like your upshift it too fast which is causing to much slip which is causing the heat which is causing belt failure. If your 265 plus gear plus what you carry on the sled and add in snow conditions and how you ride, there are a lot of variables to look at. Polaris has to pick the middle of the road for a start point. The majority of riders fall into 180 lbs range, are good looking young men (or women) who drive a Ford f150. One size doesn't fit all.

I understand but how could I notice that my helix is too aggressive? Cause right now the motor doesn't sound like overloaded when I snap the throttle... Currently running my blue pink slp and the 11-66...

What helix are you running? What is your gearing?

1) Lower angle helix = more belt squeeze. Fine tune with the spring AFTER, you get the angle correct where clutches will hang on to the belt.
2) Higher gears puts the load more on the belt. Lower gears puts more load on the chain / gears, less on belt.

For what it's worth,
I gear as low as I can for a Mountain sled. As long as it stays out of overdrive in the pull. (if your primary clutch goes into overdrive).
I'll put a wimpy spring in the secondary and keep dropping helix angle (while adjusting primary to match), until it hangs on to the belt and clutches are running balanced for heat & not too hot.
You can fine tune both clutches with springs when you get to this point ALL AT TARGET RPM>

I'm using stock helix and gearing so 2.09 gearing ratio and for the helix I can't remember but it's the stock one...Also before I had a 2012 assault 155 with pro track and never had an issue with belt? Is the Assault 155 same ratio as the Pro?
