1. years of experiance on a sled
2. how much money they have in a sled
3.is it because they are in a movie
4. they can climb the biggest hill
5. do the biggest drops
6. won the snow cross or X games
7. boondock threw trees better than most
8. race the trail faster than most
9. does the sled make the pro or does the pro make the sled
10 is it cause ur the best in ur group ?

these are just a few things i thought of !

is a pro a person who can do it all or is there pro's in each ridding category?
such as hillclimbing , snow cross ,etc

Cash, do you get paid to do it.
Like in any sport the difference is does it make you money.

No I am not a pro rider, spend all my money on sleds with no return save the big sh!t eating grin on my face at the end of the day.

alot of people are called pro ridders who dont make money ridding ! most people in the videos dont get paid except for the person making the film ! so are the filmers the PROS?

PRO = $$$$$$$
amatuer = love for the sport

we are all PRO amateurs lol..

but most riders in films are not paid but some are sponsored by dealers that give them a sled each season, or by aftermarket goodies to help out, Ross Mercer gets fuel and a snow cat from RedBull, that would be sweet. Now the racers and X games stuff brings a lot more oppurtunity because of the exposure you get on TV etc... but only a few each year get the spotlight

its kinda hard to get a crowd of 10000 people to the backcountry to watch us poke and a shred the mountain.

p.s. I am a PRO at spending $$$$ on my sled

Only a PRO would go from a Turbo to a stocker for the challenge. LMFAO
And you, my good buddy, are a PRO.

Well according to that, I was a pro rider for one year up at Snowbird, but I did not make enough money to support myself and my wife. So now I am back to an amature rider. I'd rather be an "amature" any day. At least I am digging out my buddies that will buy me dinner at the end of the day instead of strangers that stiff you with no tip and the end of the ride.
