Pro riders vs Proclimb vs XM/XP

Just curious to the numbers of users on these forums at any given time according to brand of sled. I have noticed that on average there are 3 times the people on the Pro ride side compared to proclimb sleds and even less for the Doo xm/xp side combined? Any opinions? Over 700 pro. 250 proclimb, and aprox the same number for Doo, about 250. Is there that many more Pro's being sold in the last 3 years? Check it out for yourself next time your on snowest, overwhelming numbers for Pros. Weird, not sure?

If you really want stats on this you should post it in the general section. I can tell you that I heard from a good source that Polaris sold more mountain sleds than flat land sleds (SB's counting as mtn sleds) for the first time ever. I think more and more people in the flat land states are buying them too.

X2 on that.

I spent way more time on this forum when I owned a Polaris and was always looking for answers to why it ran like a POS.

Since I bought the XM, only checkin in here occasional to see what's available for accessories, check out snow conditions, and of course, check in the Poo section for a chuckle...makes me happy I finally jumped ship this year!!! Lovin the XM!!!:face-icon-small-coo

All the yapping aside, we have seen a real increase in Polaris over the last few years on the hill. The Pros seem to have really garnered a niche in the mountain segment.

after a couple of tow outs, not to mention a few weeks of not riding because its' being fixed, the gilding will flake off that pos......the koolaide will start to lose its' flavor....not even a pig wants to wallow in c-ut forever....:brokenheart:

i own a pro and everyone seems to have got one but i really think the xm is better.... And all the doo guys go too dootalk, which i found was a gongshow and came back lol

hard to find...

Its getting hard to find anybody your riding with anytime there comes another group riding through....most of em are pros and they all look the same covered in snow. Im thinkin that even if you tallied up all the people on here that have had problems with them, there are probably ten times that number who are not in any polls and havent had problems. Sounds weird to say, but thats the "problem" with selling sooooo many sleds is that your margin of issues creates a thousand problem sleds instead of maybe a few hundred. Just a thought....

Or after 2.5 years of trouble free mountain-only riding on a snow checked 2011 it will be an excellent sled.

Dootalk does capture the yellow folks, tho it is not what it was in the Rev Summit and early XP days. More wankers over there now. Lots of cat boyz on hardcoresledder, and snow and mud captured some snowesters after the forum takeover a few years back. But there are sure lots of RMK's out there again, just be humble, remember the dark days of 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009...

Just bear in mind Skidoo has around 40% market share currently (double anyone else) so Polaris really isn't selling sooooo many sleds that they appear to have more issues than others. And no I'm not a Doo guy just stating a fact.

Really, in mountain sleds or trail sleds?

I dunno about that market share for Doo anymore.

The deep snow segment is the largest seller across the market. Poo seems to be dominating this segment. The other brands would have to completely out sell in all other markets to overcome this

Hell, I live in the flatlands and there are more mountain sleds here than crossovers or short tracks, so by that math....

Here in the mountains (weird place for a mountain sled, I know), there are so many more pros than new doos from the last few years its not even funny. Both dealers exist and both are top notch IMO....the pro has been a big sales hit however you wish to spin it.

I was at mt bachelor for a few days after Christmas and easily saw 8-10 '13 pros out riding. Just talking about 2013 sleds. Saw 1 '13 xm (an sp) and zero '13 cats. The only '13 XM Summit X sled I saw was in town, in the back of a pickup. New Years day I was at mt.St.Helens, saw 5 other '13 Pros, (in 3 different groups), no Doos, no Cats. I think as far as market share goes, I think skidoo is hanging on to a slim overall lead, but Polaris is dominating the mountain segment.
