Pro Ride Ultimate Bumper

Anyone get one of these new bumpers yet?

Will it fit with a Polaris skid plate?

Or is a skid plate even necessary with this?

I've looked at this bumper as well but not in person yet.

Couple things that come to mind just looking at the pic but thoughts may change once a guy can see it in person.

First off, how much snow will get caught in between those two bars and then turn into ice???

Second, if you look towards the bottom of the bumper where it makes the turn, you can see where the tubular portion ends and it then transitions to flat metal. I wonder how well that area would take a hit??? With a skid plate your impact is deflected away by smooth hard plastic. With this bumper, if the metal takes an impact it may bend and it could stay bent into the belly. Thus leaving you with a bumper crumpled up against your lower nose area.

Lastly, if this bumper is made anything like their "extreme bumper" then I would definitely pass. I've seen this bumper take minor hits and fold like Japanese origami.

Again, these are just thoughts based off of pics, I have yet to see one in person.

After my experiences with the Polaris Extreme bumper, I would never recommend this bumper. I know how to test the durability of a bumper. ;

I've had, stock, Extreme, TCP, Skins, and WRP for front bumpers and WRP is by far my favorite so far.

It looks like the skid and bumper would work. Picture of my skid plate and it looks like the middle holes and the bumper bottom holes would aline.
I agree with the above posts. There are better front bumpers out there.

Ive seen one with a skid plate. If you looks close theres a gap there in the pic where a skid plate would go.... I opted to not get this bumper over the extreme one hit wonder.

X2, you stole my name for the Extreme bumper.

I really like the WRP. First time I've seen one.

I like the concept of the new Polaris one with the integrated support under the belly though.

As WJL said, there is not much support there. Forget about the down tubes offering any real protection. The tubing is very thin aluminum and will be rendered into scrap metal with a fairly minor hit. Because the front piece is welded on, it snaps off, leaving you with no bumper. The only downfall with the skins bumper is the ends are sharp and I tend to snag or hit them walking around the sled. I love the WRP because it is smooth, offers multiple grab spots, looks good, offers good protection. I really endorse this bumper.
