My 2012 pro when cold, (first start of the day) starts, idles 10-15 seconds than dies. I start it again and its fine the rest of the day. This only happen out west. Here in "flatlander" wisconsin it starts and idles fine, don't have to restart. I'm I the only one that this happens to. Yes, did the search. It's not a big deal just curious.

Mine has done the same thing a couple of times and I'm also curious as to why. It starts right back up and runs perfect. Hopefully someone has some ideas.

So, this is rare but I'm not the only one. TPS is a good possiblity. I would have the dealer look at it, if I knew it wasn't a common thing. Don't want to have them look at and say "they all do that".

Who cares if the dealer says that "they all do that". You don't know if it is normal or an expensive repair down the road. I have always told my customers that if they think something is wrong or just not quite right to bring it in so I can look at it and see if its normal. Nothing sucks worse than have to repair a problem that would have been covered under warranty if someone would have just brought the unit in and said "I don't think this is quite right".

Did you install a riser?

Garage it. Open and inspect the electrical connectors for moisture and blow them out. After everything is good and dry load the connectors with dielectric grease.

Test ride and see how it does.

My Cat's do the same thing. Are the new pro's fuel injected? do they have a Battery? If they don't have a battery and are fuel injected the system isn't fully functional and it can't crank fast enough to "charge" the system. Once it has ran a few seconds it will have built enough fuel pressure and can fire the injectors at the right rate. Also at altitude the fuel is thinner and the pump needs to work harded to pressurize the fuel first thing in the morning.

It all Depend What Temp The Sled Was Shut off in..

If different then ur Restart temp, Computer wants a reboot!

So it kills..

Starts right up and will run mint! all day..

Thinking this is what ur guys are seeing..

For ones that got shut off in the flat lands then restarted up high,, this also may happen to you too!

Check to make sure the TPS in plugged in properly and their is no moisture in the connection. I had a similar issue and that was my problem.

My 010 600 did the same thing. It didnt matter whether it was in the mountains or back home in "flatlands" in ND. Never bothered me just kinda a pain and let it do its thing and start it back up and ran awesome rest of the day. Waitin to see if my pro will do the same thing. But it was always on the cold start first of the day.
