Ok this might sound stupid, can any body tell me or show me where the fiberglass rod goes , the Picts I got with my bag for illustration sucked, it was black on black, It was telling me to put the rod in a hole, a hole that I couldn't find, my sled is a 13 so I'm wondering if this hole doesn't even exist. Believe it or not, I probably spent an hour trying to install that pos, anyway can somebody chim in and tell me how to install that rod...
Tks

I just installed two of these bags on my wifes and my 2013 Pro RMKs. Ditch the rod, there is no place to put it. I attached the two velcro clasps to the CF frame tube, attached the two tabs to the plastic body panels as necessary and then used a zip tie to attach the metal hook to the bonded connection point to stretch the bag out. Works great and only took about five minutes to install the whole thing.

It took u 5 mins vs my 60+mins, that must mean I'm a total ret@rd than lol, even the instructions of where to put the bolt and that pin wasn't very clear, I think that bolt poking through that bag can scratch up the lens of my goggles.
Tks for the reply

i kept the rod in. I used two zip ties on the opposite CF tube in criss-cross arrangment. Then i bent the "hook" to it opened a little more and put it through the whole in adjacent CF tube. Worked perfectly. Pretty ghetto directions, but my install is money. :face-icon-small-hap

I used zip ties to hold the carbon fiber rod in place, the 2013 does not have the hole drilled.

Get a plastic vacuum port Cap at a auto parts store to fit over the exposed threads of bolt, that will reduce the chances of scratching the goggs.
Saw it some where on SW.

Yes or maybe fuel line tube.

I threw the bolt away & used push dart (from windshield). Ran all last yr like this & worked great. other nice thing is, if you need to move the bag outta the way (fill coolant easier), push dart is 2 second removal.

one other suggestion if you roll your sled over frequently(ya i kinda do..) take out the rear push dart on each side of windshield & zip tie it. windshield wont pop off every time you roll over now. worked for me..

zip-ties fix everything....

This is on a 12 put I would use the rod for sure. As you can see in the picture is is a must for expanding the bag out. Just zip tie it to the structure that use to have the holes in it. Eric

One more thing, you can see it in this picture but I make the rod even stiffer by using some aluminum TIG welding rod in the bag also, then zip tie it to the plastic rod that comes with the bag.

take that flexible rod and throw it in the garbage. it doesnt do anything anyway. also do like phatboy said and use a push dart instead of the bolt. no idea why they use a bolt here in the first place. much easier to install and uninstall, lighter, and wont scratch your goggles.

Does this bag keep your goggles dry. I had an Arctic Cat bag (made my own mounting setup for 11 Pro) but the snow on the hood would melt and drip through the vent right into my goggle bag, causing a steam bath for the gogs. The bag has since worn out and is time for a new one. Looking seriously at the Poo one.

Bag works great. Must get plenty of heat off of the can to evaporate any condensation/ hood snow. Must have...

If you are getting steam on the goggles glue some SLP cloth to the vented side, works great. Siliconed the rivet holes also.

Bag works great on my 13 assault, easy install works well with quick remove good kit, only thing is you have to take off the brake vent tube thing, the hood will not go on with that

I didnt take mine off my 2012 SB assault...bag opening is limited this way tho with the brake Duct... I was actually thinking about removing the brake duct vent..cant see what it would hurt
