im haven mine clutched for 8-10000 for cooke from the dealership. that requiers a black/purple spring and 10-60 weights. my home is at 2000ft and wana ride around home a little. i see from 0-8000ft take a black and 10-68's. do any of you pro guys have a black spring or 10-68 weights they wana get rid of.

unless you demand the absolute top performance out of your machine at home, i would just leave the black purple spring in and change the weights out.

The 10-60's will be to light in Cooke 10-62's. Blue pink slp primary spring..
Black white secondary..
DC

im not hell bent on perfect performance, i know i know a person should run what they are supposed to but im not that great of a rider to where perection or not will affect my riding any. im goin by what poo says to. for me close is good enuff and i dont know the diff other that what my tac says. i can tell when im not runin the rpms im supposed to but other than that hell i have no idea

isnt cooke from 7500 on up town is 7500 and change, just thought 10-60 are for 8-10000 thought that would be bout right

Most of my riding is done out west but I do ride a little back here in Iowa (when we actually get a decent snow). I switched out my secondary spring for the black/purple spring. I have no intention of switching back to the black spring for Iowa riding. The way I figure it will be good enough for back here in Iowa with the best performance being out west. The black spring is allready in your secondary from the factory so if you order the black/purple spring and switch them you will then have both.

On my Dragon I never switched weights for riding back in Iowa, instead I just watched my rpm. With the pro's rev limiter being lower I plan on switching weights now.

We're heading West over Thanksgiving and its looking like its gonna be Cooke. I was also planning on running 10-60s for 8-10,000 to start out with. I do plan on bringing my 10-62s though just incase I am getting too many rpm.

I ran 10-60's above 8k last winter on an 11 pro, stock primary spring, and it was good, did not overrev, 8200-8300 max, stock motor, ran perfect. Sled isn't a pooch, probably just an average pro hp-wise. With that said, you don't want to overrev.

I've got a set of 10-68 that I'm pulling off my turbo as soon as my adjustables get here.

For 7-10k elev, I ran a stock 163 with a black primary 10-62 and a 58-38 .46 helix. Sled was killer with this setup.

My sled, the other two Pros with me, my bud's Pro from WA, and Rick Somers rentals all run 60's in Pro's at Cooke with stock primary Blk.grn spring. Black and Black/purple in the driven. Just sayin'...

i have an idea what you all are talkin about but have no idea what the diff is

stock poo stuff is prob good enuff for me and my ability

Last season at Cooke I ran 10-62, and stock springs, at home (Michigan) Stock springs and 10-68. 11 Pro 155

i know i have to change weights, but do i really need to switch the drivn spring from black to black/purpal then, some say yes some say no if i had to pick i would rather it be wright for cooke than home

Your secondary spring affects how your sled back shifts when the load on your track is increased. Good for the steep and the deep in the west but you won't notice it when you are bangin' ditches in MN...

ok leavin in the cooke spring for good, just changing weights then, thanx everybody for their .02
