Pro Clamp - Time For a Beer

We had a great meeting this morning with Mike & Alec from Fun Country Powersports in the Dalles, Oregon. What a nice group of Proactive thinkers these folks are. They really are looking out for their customer base. We are looking forward to a long relationship. Thanks again for the visit and breakfast. We need to support those that stand behind motorsports!

I think if you also bond these caps on the shaft with lords it would be indestructible!! Nice work!!

Re;bonding collar to shaft

For those seeking a permanent solution this is the way go.
You can still remove driveshaft easily, the drivers will come off the other end .
Overall I think we all need to compliment Polaris for giving us the best
mountain sleds the industry has ever seen.

Five Thumbs up to Alec @ Fun Country in The Dalles Oregon!!!!!! His mechanic and good friend Brandon is delivering my collar tonight and delivering my neighbors sled after he gets off work tonight.. This is the customer service that is a dying breed.. I have been working in the ski industry all my life and have seen all kinds of sh** go down recals and issues on gear that has been brought to maket too soon without being tested and proven.. I feel comfotable spending my hard earned $$$ with people like this.. Hopefully this collar will let me ride trouble free until Polaris gets this crap figured out.. I called Alec as soon as I saw reports of drive shaft issues. He was unaware and within a few days he took time to call me and discuss that he would for sure take care of the problem.. I was hoping to get a 2011/2012 shaft but by then they were all gobbled up. Overall I can say that the company building the collars and my dealer are top notch people and I cant thank them enough.. Now let's get out and RIDE!!!!!!!!!

I see a few people are concerned about the warranty of the shaft if you install a clamp. First off our clamp along with all the others I have seen are not a permanent application. Second of all, Polaris will publicly stick to what the warranty in the manual states just because that's business. Thirdly when they break it's a mess and it would take some real investigation to tell if it had been clamped or not. On the same note we have not heard of any failures on any of the clamped shafts. That includes all the great people who jumped in and started building the first designs. Now time will tell because they could be installed wrong, not tightened correctly, or a few other reasons. In general the clamps work. If you want to wait for Polaris to fix your sled then I commend you. For me.......I'm riding.
We are shipping everyday as fast as we build product. We are keeping up with current orders. Ride Safe.

I know polaris has there own kit for the shafts now! But if it was me, needing to use a product to deal with the 13 shaft. I would spend the 99 bucks on this product. IMO it has way more meat on the shaft, for it to hold on too!! just my two pennys!!

If you want too...... the polaris clamp will be engineered using their intended loadings and it was probably made to the bare minimum needed.

Is there a stated fastener torque value with this kit???

Yes there is go to the web site and click on instructions. What kit? Polaris or this Pro Clamp kit.
BTW just ordered this clamp and QD install tools.

Are you guys installing two clamps or just one on the driveshaft? I have two coming and am unsure as to whether to put both on.

Not going to wait on Polaris, looking like its going to be Xmas time before they show up in AK!

I like the looks of this product, But for me I chickened out way early. when this problem first showed up, I pulled my 13 shaft and installed the 12 steel one!

PRO Clamp weight?

So what does the PRO clamp weigh? With the PRO clamp installed is it still lighter than the '12 steel shaft? I hear the uncollared / unclamped '13 shaft is 0.6#'s lighter than the '12. Curious minds want to know.

We have not seen any need for two. It will not hurt anything.
