Pro chute climbing with the 4 strokers!

Well spent my first full day on the Pro and went chute climbin in Revy with my buds. We had a little 3 vs 3 competition in 9 chutes on Boulder mntn. I have to admit that I didn't think I had a hope. All of the 4 strokes were 174 and a couple were 3 inch. All of these guys can ride, and we all are in various sled films.

I climbed one of the airport chutes with disbelief, then continued to climb 4 more big chutes which 2 of them we have never even seen a 2 stroke look at in the kind of snow we were in. I climbed one chute called "Messy" for a reason. After 2 failed attempts by my buddies with their 174's, I rocked up and over with the 162 Pro.
The words "I can't believe it" and "who would have thought" were never used so many times in one day of riding!
I tried swenson street at the end of the day, but clipped a bump in the chute and got the front end up too much to regain speed. The snow was 2.5 ft deep in the chute.
We have a bunch of pics and some video that will be posted in the next day or so.
Just thought i would share.

Awesome! What boost/fuel are you running with your Boost-It kit on the Pro?
Running 9 lbs boost. 50/50 pump premium and C-12. I have never seen the det come on.
Making 70 mph track speed with 162x3.
 
Awesome.

I took a spin on a Pro with only 5 pounds of boost and that was even enough to put a smile on my face. :)

It is a HM kit with water to air intercooler at 9 lbs. Has a Boost-It fuel controller on it.
The 4 strokes were running 14-17 lbs.

I have not had any 2 stroke turbo manufacturer ask me for a controller. When the time comes to release this for sale on 2 strokes, then I will sell it to work on everyones kit.
I am running the helix that came with the kit(not sure what it is). I changed the secondary spring to a stiffer one. I am running a orange primary spring(which came with the kit), and 70 gr Daltons in the primary.

Veedy did not actually get to film this sled yet, so it may not make the next Boost Vid.

nice neil..... from seeing your video's of your apex ripping, to hear you speaking this highly of a 2 stroke turbo.. i gotta say im impressed.

neil Just finnished a 174 pro for a customer set it up at 14#s with a kmod skid it felt so good I would have pointed it up anything.
When do ya want to try that box on one of my set ups? say 20#s

I can't imagine 14 lbs. Thats almost double what I am running.

Are you saying you want to try 20 lbs boost? I wouldn't think that motor could take that kind of boost. I could easily fuel it though if you had a fuel pump that could keep up.
 
i would like to know more about this boost it fuel programmer. i wouldnt mind trying one out on my iq turbo

You can search it in the Yamaha turbo section. There is tons of good info.
We are not ready to release it for the 2 stroke masses. We have it working good on a Pro, but still want to do more testing this spring. Even after that, we will talk to each customer before sending one out.
 
I find it oddly disturbing that the Canadian Masters is sponsored by Bud Light!

The Most Interesting Man in the World actually won that event and didn't even attend. Not to mention is never required to sign his score card. (runs 12 lbs boost)
