Pro Assault front shock reservoirs

A question for those of you that have both bought the '11 Assault, and who ride tree's;

I am really concerned with the front reservoirs protrusion from the side panel of the sled. In short it looks like a total tree magnet when coming down steep into a tree-well.

Has anyone experienced this sort of impact yet?

Further, has anyone fitted a Skinz front bumper to their Assault, and does the extra width look like it might deflect that kind of impact?

It just appears very vulnerable in a steep, downhill impact

IMO,

I dont think you are looking at a problem.

I think you would peel the side panels off the sled before the resi.

Yes, the SPG bumper deflect things.

IMO, if you 'rub' the resi... you have bigger problems as you have just skewered a tree and probably taken out the a-arms.

I doubt that you could lean it over where the hood did not contact the tree/obstacle first.

Reservoir location

Thanks MH...I know its very hard to get the orientation of the reservoir off that front view image you have posted, but it is actually offset a little forward and is about inline vertically with the front of the A-arm...if you add any downhill slope and you hit a vertical tree (I am RENOWNED for hitting tree's) it is prone...I'll have to whinch the rear-end of my sled and send you a picture...

Im pretty convinced its going to be an issue, but wont matter when I upgrade to Exit-Bros and mount the reservoir elsewhere...
also MH - fyi, I cannot track down Justin...left a couple of VM
