Pro 600 or Pro 800 for me wife??

Get an 800 in case yours breaks down, you'll have a fun backup, hell she probably should have a turbo

The pro chassis is easier to ride than the dragon!!
I would tell ya to get the pro...
cheers
dc

Debating 600 or 800 for my wife. They weigh about the same but is the 600 more agile?

The 600 is still in the IQ chassis(40 lbs. heavier).800 is in the Pro RMK chassis.

Common sense says the 600 will come in the Pro chassis but is not available yet.As far as agility a lighter sled should be easier to turn.If you want a 600 and don't need it now wait for the release of Pro chassis 600.
.

800 Pro RMK for the wife.

Valerie is 5'3" ( on a good day) 115lbs, she rolls the RMK right up on one ski no problem. This is the beginning of her third season.

i'm always thinkin' resale, i would most defiantly want the pro chassis so i would get the 800 or wait until next year and i'm sure the 600 will be updated. the only reason i can figure the 6 is still in the old chassis is poo needed to burn out the last of that inventory...

DC......... LOL. Seriously go buy the pro, the Redhead swears by hers after coming off of a 600RMK. She's not very big either and handles the Pro so much better than she ever did the 600.

I bought a 07 600 rmk a few years ago and wished I had got an 800 soon after. I now have a Pro 800 rmk and love it the longer track and the extra horse power, it gives me the confidence that I can make it up any hill that the boys go. On my 600 sometimes I would trench or have it pinned and need just a little more. On the pro I can pop it up on one ski even sitting down.

My over 40, 130#v wife loves her new PRO RMK 155 800, and before that she rode the heck out of a 2009 Assault (2300 miles),

As I explained to her when we were debating the jump from a 600 to an 800, I feel that when you reach a certain point of your skill progression on a sled, there will be a few things you just can only do with maybe just a little more power than not.

OR: One may not be able to progress without the next level of power to back up their moves/intentions....

Having said that keep the sled light for the ladies, limit the tunnel bags or fuel cans, and load up their back pack up a little so they have more weight to leverage up top, as they are built different than us. I also have set her skiis in to the inner most setting, making it much easier for her to pull over.
Works great for her, made it hyper reactive for me....

I have some helmet cam footage of me following Val as she performs downhill pow turns and u turns. The helmet cam flattens out the slope but it was impressive in person!

I like the 700 too.

I would wait on a RAW chassis 600 unless you find a screaming deal on an IQ style. The 800 should be fine, but if your wife has reservations, let her ride the 600 until her abilities exceed the ability of the 6, then worry about upgrading. If she is about the weight you say, she should be able to go about anywhere she needs to go. If you are just buying her an 8 so you have a back up, I think she will take more time to overcome the mental barrier of riding the bigger guys sled. Not all women would be this way, but if she is not all that experienced, get her on a smaller sled first. The 6's don't lose resale value too badly either as they are a known quantity.
