Fellow Snowester's in WA, I'm interested in putting together an avy training class for all of my riding friends so it's a smaller group and there's more valuable / hands on time. Does anyone know a good presenter/certified teacher of such a course?
thank you in advance!
John

I should have been more specific, we would prefer to do it in the Gold Creek/Stampede/Easton/Salmon la Sac area.
thanks.

Kaw76, you are sweet

We do snowmobile specific on the snow avy courses in the Cle Elum area. We can set up a private class for you if you would like, but our regular class schedules are on brownpapertickets.com, look under avalanche training. If you would like more information email me or call anytime.

ASAP Avy Training

A group of us just took the class last week in Cle Elum with Chad (cpatts)and co. We all were amazed at the knowledge and professionalism of these guys. This class is a bargain at the price they charge and should be required for anyone riding in the mountains.
I won't elaborate but they have a little scenario they run early in the day that showed our entire group how little we really knew about helping ourselves.

I know they have a few more sessions coming up this year and it's really that far from GC so distance shouldn't be a factor.

Go for it!!!

take the class

I agree with Smitty59. we (smitty, my 16 yr old son and i) took tha last class and the only scary or dangerous part was in the past(riding without any training). yes this is not a danger free sport, but the biggest danger was our group in the past with no training. the group was small enough to be personal and all hands on, so dont put it off.
