primary clutch wat too wide need help

I have an 06 m7 I want to get the primary sheeves closer to the belt (.015 - .020) right now there is about a 1/8" I bought the sled used with 200 miles on it about 2 yrs. ago the first owner had alot of work done by Bikeman, anyway heres the problem I removed the spider and no shims only some wierd steped spacer I remove the spacer and I have no belt clearance I dug into the old parts box and found a hand full of engagement shims all differnt thickneses and started to try some combinations hours into this with some added hair loss it is too wide or no clearance it is mind boggling and also it almost looks like the spider has been machined on the back side and without about an 1/8" spacer between the spider and the floating sheeve it will bottom out on the wieghts is this another Bikeman blunder or I'm I missing somthing PLEASE HELP

SLP has a spider shim kit just for that sled, like 20.00 I think

Did you measure your belt to sheeve before disassembly? If you did and know that measurement and where you want to be you then measure the thickness of the washer and subtract from there to get to the measurement you want. You need the shim kit from slp or you can have the spacer machined down. The slp kit will come with directions.
