Primary clutch problem?

My sled bogs when I crack the throttle after riding around 5000rpm for a while. After it bogs once, it usually clears up, but it comes back every so often.

I cleaned the Exhaust valves and replaced the spark plugs so far.

I know I have a couple of these threads asking you guys, but I have a trip to the Snowy range in 2 weeks, and I'll need all the power I can get.

Has anyone ever had problems with the rollers in the Primary clutch? Maybe they are wearing? The bog does happen more often in "deeper" snow.

Otherwise I'm hoping it's something super simple.

If your seeing it mostly in the deeper pow, you might look for water in the air box due to snow ingestion. If it comes and then cleares up I would think it is possible related to the conditions. these buggys are known to leak moisture into the intake from the headlight plenum as well as other places too. Might be worth a look.

Is there any relation to the bog symptom and fuel levelin the tank i.e. "it only does it when climbing with less than 1/2 a tank of gas". There have been riders with fuel pick up and/or vapor lock issues as well.

How many miles on your fuel filter? Do you have the goods to check your fuel pressure? just a few things to consider. A bog, both heard and felt is usually a motor issue where clutch issues are usually felt in performance lack but not heard and then recovered without a fix or change in components. Hope that makes sense. Good luck. EW
