Primary clutch not opening all the way

2005 M5, new springs in bouth clutches. On a stand, the belt on the primary clutch likes a bought 2" getting to the top. When you ride in the snow, they feels like their not shifting in to high. It use to run 75 or 80 mph at 8300 rpm, now 60 mph at 8300 rpm? Help Gary D

These are constructive ideas not meant to be insulting in any way---

**Primary spring cups not deep enough. Spring binds itself before your clutch makes full travel. Putthe spring in the vise, measure it fully compressed. Watch your face.
Re-assemble clutch without spring and measure the spring cup depth fully compressed. I drilled a small hole for my depth mic to fit into the cover in line with the cup groove. But you don't need a depth mic. Brazing rod works. Stiff mechanic's wire works. Basically anything you can transfer to a ruler of caliper.

Weight jamming and holding something in it's arc of travel.
Broken spider.
Spring incorrectly installed.
Broken spring.

Does your spring look like it's all beat to heel already. Any wear marks?
