Priest Lake riding

you wanna stay cheap... stay in Priest River, 20 min south.
Good riding... best we've found up there is off to the right, on up to the snow-hut, up and over the hill into 3 or 4 play areas. Kinda puts you on the far back side of Roman Nose.

yea yea... my details blow. what can I say, I'm up for the fun, not the navigation.

Thinking about heading to Priest Lake in February, anyone recommend a good place to stay that's not to outrageously expensive? Also some good places to ride.

Family has a drive in and ride out the door cabin nearly finished. 2 bedrooms 1 bathroom plus a loft that sleeps up to another 6-8 people. Located on the north end of the lake and at the Lionhead trail...$2,000/week. All the back country riding there is terrific.

if you stay on the west side of the lake, ie hills, elkins there is alot of trail riding to get anywhere good. The best off trail riding is on the east side of the lake. sundance

Sundance Mountain Lodge

Never spent the night there because we have a cabin a few miles away, but what I've seen in visiting is that it is a pretty nice place. The food get's good reviews in this area. It is where I'd stay if I was just visiting.

Prieat Lake elevations

We may be coming to the area next week and wondering what elevations a guy needs to clutch for?

TIA

the tallest peaks are 7500+, we always setup to ride 6k-8k for clutching, but for carb sleds consider u start trail at 4k. no worries as long as you are efi. My lil bro says there is around 12 ft up high in the selkirks have fun.

$2,000 a week is outrageous for a 2 bedroom cabin. That's at least 3 months rent for lots of cabins you can ride from. Go with Tony at Sundance lodge.
