Priest Lake closures.

How many people are aware of the new closures of STATE land at priest lake? THese closures were done with virtually no public input. The enviro nazi's filed a lawsuit so they just closed it up.

They have also filed to get the rest of it closed all the way to indian creek and beyond.


Anybody know how to file a countersuit? If the state can't afford to fight a lawsuit to close the land then they certainly can't afford to fight a lawsuit to keep it open.

Oh what the hell...thats all we need in Idaho is more land closures. Priest Lake is too good of an area to lose! I swear the greenies will be the end of everything fun in this country. I'll put my feelers out and see if I can find out what happened.

I was just recently appointed a committee member to the Washington State snowmbile advisory committee. I represent region 3, Spokane, Lincoln, Pend Oreille, Stevens ans Ferry counties. This is a volunteer position. What we do is gather information on all snowmobile activities from land use to grooming. What you are seeing in Idaho is the same thing that is happening here in Washington. This closing of state lands is just the beginning. If you would like more info on how you can help please PM me. What I have heard on Idaho is there is more than 35,000 acres of state and federal lands slated to close over the next 5 years mostly due to wildlife.

What the hell, thats great before you know it you will have the sherrif sitting on his sled shooting radar so you dont exceed 30 mph on the trails and you will have to ride trails all the time no playing in the trees or on the hills. I call this BS

My understanding is that they are going to try to close EVERYTHING north of indian creek.

Please let me win the powerball so I can dedicate my time to filing a countersuit to every lawsuit that the hollywood do gooders file.

Someone told me not just Indian Creek and north, but the whole east side of Priest, the green bass-tards want to close. WFO, are you talking about the more caribou space that's on the 08-09 trail maps, which is more than last year, or is there something else VERY recent?

They are attempting to close a lot more than the 08-09 maps.

In the future it should be referred to as a wolf closure.

The idaho dept of lands sent me a pdf with the idaho state dept of lands land closure in the priest lake area.

I do not know how to post pdf on this website.

It looks like horton ridge and abandon creek roads are closed.
These are not groomed roads.
