Price Creek Sno Park Closed for Season

Rumor has it the DOT is using Price Creek Sno Park for a snow storage area, thereby closing it for the season as a Sno-Park. Crappers are to be removed this week. Bummmmer. Guess the Gold Creek narrow access road is going to be even more crazy (if that is even possible).

That is odd. I was there last night. There was a small fresh burm to get into and I did not do it becuase I was alone and it was midnight, but it had no signs and had been plowed out and looked great.

Pic was @ the exit

Well, if that's the case there will be more $$ to plow the GC and Kachess parking, right?

I did a late night check of three i-90 snow parks late last night. (midnight or so)

Crystal Springs. main lot, well plowed except the foot or so of fresh from Tuesday. Talked to a "local" (cabin owner/dweller) in the lot who said they told him that was the last plow job of the season? Anyway it was very accesible and the road in was plowed including the banks being pushed way back.

Price creek Westbound. Looked nice and cleared except Tuesday snow and the fresh snowbank from the plows on I-90.

Gold Creek was terrible. One single lane with several Burms or banks that would need driven through. I can't imagine all the Subaru's trying to get in there to ski. What a mess it will be.

Snowbanks were impressive. Fun seeing the lodge and gas station on teh summit burried under so much snow.

Hold my beer and watch this....

:cool:Hey, if they are going to store snow in our Sno-Park, maybe they can set it up as a big terrain park!? Sort of like the X-Games! I pretty sure I could huck a backflip if they built the lip just right (and a landing).

Don't they have a big lake full of stumps (Keechelus) just south of the freeway where they could dump all the snow in the world????
