How many guys have deleted the oil pump and premix oil/gas,and what ratio do you mix at?

between 24:1 & 40:1.
I mix 32, most people I know do 28, 32, or 40. Don't go beyond 40 on the M.

Did you drill the case to lube the water pump drive?
Did not mean to give bad rep on this post.Was on smart phone with to small of keys ! To add to it ihave had Indy Dan Take pumps off 2 of my sleds and drill case. The third sled will be done soon. Took crank out on one when pump died. Wont happen again with pemix i hope .

no. We do a grease zerk. The 2012 we just did smoked like a PIG for the first mile... so i know there was more than enough in there!!!
10-4 on the grease but then you gotta hope it will get greased when it is in others hands after it leaves.
Grease is for install, after that if the grease stays, it's greased, if it washes away, it washes away with premix. Many of us have numerous years on these without re-greasing.
i'm mixing 40:1 on the first tank then see how that is if it seems like to much i'll go to 32:1
I think you have it backwards, 40:1 is less oil than 32:1. Start at 32:1.

How much trouble is it to do the oil deleate?? Im rebulding a 2001 cat 800, that wasn't getting oil. I'm curious what it takes,, or if i should just fix the pump?
Not 100% sure as I sent mine to the shop to get a few mods and it was deleted there,but I would think you would have to split the case to remove the oil pump shaft,but like I say I'm nor 100% sure, but at least if you delete it and premix you know its getting oil
Not sure on a 2001, but on an M, it's a very simple job. Hardest part is yanking the darn oil bottle.
