Preist Lake- Need Info and pictures

Found out I am headed to preist lake next year in early january to do some riding. Never been there riding before or anywhere even near there. I am just looking for some basic info about the area. Average snow depth at that time of year? Snow depth total for the year? What is the riding like? Are there lots of chutes? Is it more boondocking? Only places I have been outwest riding are the Snowies in Wyoming, as well as Togwotee.

Like I said I know nothing about the area, I am just trying to get a idea of what is like before I get out there. Any riding pictures you guys could put up would be much appreciated as well

Thanks

here is some scenery pictures, this is just about 7 miles away from the truck where you parked at. this is all on the east side of the lake.

on an average year, the snow will blow your mind. this year we got pounded in december but it had no base to sit on. you can normally ride until may or june though, snow depth is always pretty good. there are some chutes in some places, but you have to know how to get there and most people won't tell you straight out, it's a secret spot haha.

A friend has a cabin in the area. I guess the riding is about 10 minutes out his back door. Don't know where exactly it is located though.

Thanks for the pictures, I would love to see some more.

How big is the riding area?

the overall rideable areas is huge. lots of trails you can take and make a loop for the day. i think there's around 500 miles of trails. a lot of them connect to other areas, such as pack river and on the west side to monumental and baldies area.

here's a website you can browse around on, some pretty good info.

and here's a link to a bunch of pictures people have submitted to the site from riding in the area.
