Rotella in All my Dirtbikes change every 10 hours

Synthetic Honda oil like usual. Not GN4 unless you wanna change it every ride or maybe 2 rides. Use the HP4M and HP4 like it's intended for.

I ran an 09 last year but only got out probably 6 times. I kept hearing everyone talk about Rotella T6 in the blue bottle. So thats what I put in both sides and ran, changed after each ride just to be safe. Did have it turn white in the trans side at the two rides I did late in the season. I guess from condensation everyone says, of the two sides being different temps. Previously in this bike I ran HP4M in the motor and the 80W trans stuff in the other side.

Screech on here has a 12 honda hopefully he will chime in.

I ran 0w 40 ams oil . I could not believe how much better my bike performed with it.

I ran my 2013 CRF450 last season as a snowbike for the first time. I used Rotella on both sides as I have always ran that in my bike. MAKE SURE that the oil you use is jaso-ma rated (wet clutches) as far as I know only 15-40 Rotella has that rating. I change oil after every ride as I have an over fueling issue because of engine temps and riding in the cold so I get gas in the oil. Hopefully that'll be cured this season.

I figured the 85w gear oil would have to be changed out due to the Cold. Here in NorCal we usually ride at 20-30 deg, not extreme as the Great White North! I'll start with the Rotella and see how it works. Thx.

I guess I did fail to say that I'm riding in Montana and Idaho, first few days I got out it was right around 0 degrees F. Then some of the days at the end of the season it was 30-40 degrees F. I ran Rotella on all of those days. I didn't even try to run my normal 10w40 in the motor and 80w in the trans that I would normally run in the summer. I think in the manual it says 10w is good for riding in 30 degrees F.

Ams 0 40 also is good for wet clutches. My bike did not work very well with 15 40. My rekluse kept wanting to creep. Once I switched no problems

The rotella 15w is great warm weather about down to 40.... I find 4 strokes are very hard to start in the real cold because it is too thick... But the 5w semi syn works well.... 2 stroke it does not really matter just have to adjust the freeplay a little on the rekluse with the heavier weight... For me it is hard buying any expensive oil because you are almost changing the oil every ride to two rides... I think it is more important to change oil often than have the expensive stuff... With rotella these are the hours I have ran on different bikes... Everything looks great and oil looks good.... I am sold..
