Preferred Colorado Polaris Dealer???

So who is the preferred Colorado Polaris dealer now that Xtreme is closed?

I'm one of those people needing the update on my '09 800 Dragon, and I'm not sure who to go to.

Does anyone know if any of the mechanics from Xtreme got hired on at any of the other dealers?

So who has the best sled mechanics now? Vickery? G-Force? CO Powersports?

After what they did/said with Mule's sled I would never take a sled to Vickery. Other than that I really don't know, haven't dealt with the others. Might try Planet in Steamboat, they seemed pretty decent but I never have work done by a dealer unless it's warranty or an update like your deal, and haven't had to since I moved out here.

This area is hurting now for a good Polaris shop. :(

Well, 900 CFI, long story short he brought it in and asked them to clutch it for the elevation he was riding and they offered to re-jet it too. They are far from a good sled shop, I hear great things about their work with bikes and ATV's but not much for sleds.

Mine was Xtreme also. They always treated well and took good care of me.

I'm at a loss as to who to take my sled to now:confused:.

I was only a Polaris owner for about 5 monthes, that siad Spirit Lake Polaris in Grand Lake was very helpful. If I recall it was Allen that helped me out. Very nice folks, took time out of his day to go through a bunch of stuff and get me squared away, or as close as one can get with a Polaris :)

On the western slope, I would say Spirit Lake Polaris for sure.
They have helped me out on a couple occasions and they will go the extra to get the job done for you.

That being said, they are too far away for me, I will prob. take mine to the polaris dealer in Cheyenne. I have used them before and they seemed ok. DOn't have a lot of experience with em, but with extreme being shut down and the polaris shop in loveland no longer dealing with sleds, it REALLY cuts down on the options.

Yea; wouldn't recommend vickery... they sell sleds and work on them, but they're centered on motorcycles and ATVs.

Frontier in Laramie would be my choice.

Allan at Spirit Lake in Grand Lake. He delivered my neighbors RMK back to him in Arvada. He gets into Denver on a regular basis.

:DSpirit Lake Polaris for sure. They know what they doing and how to set sleds up, it is they're backyard. Vickery ? for polaris just my 2 cents. Know people who have had problem with sleds there in the past. I am also an Xtreme customer and have been since 1998, but for warranty work if you need Spirit Lake Polaris took care of me very well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did not have to but they did. I have a 2008 dragon that went pop at the end of the season and it was fixed asap! I took it there from Castle Rock and glad I did!!!!These guys are the best. Promps also go to Xtreme for taken care of myself and my dad for so many years. Don, Donovan, Mindy, Sharon, Courtney, Ryan, Charlie, Dom and all the rest that gave their all to service their customers!!!!!!!! Sorry, to get off track I would take it to Spirit Lake Polaris to answer your ?

No, don't take it to Alan at Spirit Lake! He won't have time to work on our sleds now! ;) We have been using him since 2006. He is awesome. Hopefully he will be able to expand his business like he wanted to. He definitely won't steer you wrong.

I took a Yamaha MountainMax to Vickery last year. Then had to take it to Silverthorne Powersports to get it fixed. Won't be going back to Vickery.

Another vote for Xtreme. They were only 10 minutes from my house, before the move they were only five minutes.

It looks like a trip to Grand Lake is in order.

I stopped in at Vickery just for kicks the other day. The person I was talking to said he had been told by someone at Polaris that the update was just a "band-aid" for the problem. However, he didn't even know what the update included or much else about it.

Uh... Kevin, you know Xtreme is closed, right?

Mountain power sports in carbondale is a great dealer works on polaris, I ride with one of the mechanics he said they are mod friendly I think they are a boondocker dealer also. I have also heard great things about the polaris dealer in grand lake.
