Preference on can for the 800r

Thing

I just installed a "Thing" on my 07 800R and it sounds good. At low RPM's good rumble and at WOT it has a good rip. I was worried that it would be too loud but its alright. Found it a a local shop for $350. I

If you want a bit more sound from the can, try a TSS can, definitely louder then the MBRP, but not anoyingly loud. no ear plugs req'd. It has a good bark to it.

My brother has an MBRP on his 06 Rev HO, I have a TSS on my 08 XP, when we swap sleds on the hill the MBRP almost sounds too quiet in the deep snow. I like the "bark" when you grap some thottle, just not toooo loud.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Mbrp

I got a MBRP for my xp. The first weekend I took it out, it was way too quiet. I couldn't even tell the difference during idle. The whole day I was convinced this was not the can for me. Then on the next day, it opened up, and gets louder every ride. At idle its no different from stock. You can work around it and not have your ears blown, but when she opens up on a climb, very nice sound. I came off a sno stuff rumble pac on my 02, which was a bit too loud and obnoxious. I am very satisfied with the MBRP.
