Well i took off the pipe, air box, and throttle bodies to put on a new oiler cable. First thing i noticed was the oil cable loosed itself up and was over oiling for about half the winter last year. i check my plugs on a regular basis but didn't notice anything because when i got down to the intake boots i found both were ripped on the bottom side from my dumb self over tightening them. The good thing is i found both issues before i decided to ride this year which i was about to do. The bad thing is im building a mod IQR and now im down both sleds... Oh well its still early.

On a side note, someone (previous owner-dealer????) engraved B1777 into both halves of my crankcases Any ideas what thats about?

boots

I bought and installed a couple of the Kimpex intake boots. Got them from Dennis Kirk. There is a thread that's not to old that has the part number but their website is pretty easy to search. They are about $15 versus the $50 each from Polaris. They seemed prettygood quality. I got them in less than a week. It was $35 and some change shipped to my door for two of them.

I'm pretty sure those numbers are just to keep the cases matched together from the factory. Now you know you don't have two different cases that are not matched.
