Pre-Season Check List for DOO's

Help me make a pre-season check list for doo's here.

What's everyone doo? Lets make a thorough list of what to look for before the riding season begins.

Engine, clutches, grease, fluids?? Help me out! :beer; :beer;

sorry flakey I couldn't help gloting.
start with pulling your primary and blowing all the belt dust off and check to make sure you chain is tight and also grease your suspention.have fun

Top up the gas and oil, pull the chord and go. Washed it and Greased it after last ride last season.

The way I look at it the sleds been sitting in my shop for approx. 7 months, if it wasn't causing problems at the end of last season it should run the same this season.

Are there any parts in the clutches that wear out that should be checked now and then?? What's a good stock compression on the 800ho?

04 had the Tra 3 primary there a good clutch just needs to be cleaned and examined once in a while. The secondary is a button setup and these will were out And I think they should be changed out once a year are 1,000 miles, Some last longer. Compression for this motor would be 140 to 150 psi.
The cleaner the clutch the better it will perform.

I am usually really anal....

On my old sleds, I would pull both the primary and secondary apart and clean them. Re-check engine alignment and check torque arm. Pull apart and clean carbs. Pull chaincase cover and clean chaincase, re-adjusting chain and filling with fresh lube. I would eyeball sled from ski-tip to snow-flap and just give everything a once over, fixing anything that was broken or needed attention late in the previous riding season. Go through my tool kits making sure my leatherman/mini vice-grips/etc didn't get "borrowed" over the summer. Find my spare belts, almost always found on a friend's sled. I usually would have to top off the tank with fresh gas, 'cause my sleds always seem to sacrifice their gas during the summers to the lawnmowers, kid's four-wheelers, etc, but some fresh juice is a good idea anyway. Then lastly I top off the oil bottle and go! I rarely, if ever, have any early season surprises happening with my sleds by going this route.

This is going to be my first year starting out with a new-from-last-year sled. Not sure what I am going to do to it yet. Maybe just polish the seat with my butt while waiting for snow I suppose.... :D

You should also look at the condition of your sliders, rails, and track
