Have you practiced using your avalanche rescue gear lately? Are you confident that you can find and dig out a buried partner in less than 4 minutes in bad conditions? Can your riding partners find and dig you out? The honest answer for most of us is probably not. The Utah Avalanche Center will be at Weller's in Kamas on Tuesday evening Feb 9 from 6:30 to about 9:30 pm to go through the step-by-step process of rescuing a buried partner, including lots of time to practice your skills with the help of avalanche pros and test your skills with a realistic accident simulation. Please grab your riding partners and join us. The cost is $50 and pre-registration (here) is required.
