Powering IDD Display

I installed my IDD interactive display in 2012 PRO with no battery the new harness came with battery connections so I hooked it up to a battery on the garage floor to update it without the engine running. I assume I could buy a really small light weight battery just to run the display since I don't have electric start where do I hook up wires to charge the battery without messing up something or is this a bad idea?

IMO... for a "clean" plug-n-play to hook up a battery for charging... purchase the ES harness, Part #2411513,about $30 at your dealer/online.

You can hook it up to a compact/light AGM alarm-system battery like this.

It will be more cost effective than a Lithium battery and also more tolerant of the charging output of the sled.

My 2 cents.
