powerclaw?

Better for What?

The difference is only the hardness of the rubber... the HCR has a Durometer rating of 90 (harder) compared to the std Powerclaw of 80 duro... the HCR is only avail in the 153" length.

What snow type , what kind of riding, what sled, engine etc????

HCR track sucks in soft deep snow but is better on hard pack and spring snow conditions.

They are going under custom built back country sleds. because the track is lighter that is why they are going to be used. Again the question, which is better off trail in deep untracked snow with alot of tight steep slots and sidehilling.

The std Powerclaw will fit your description much better... depending on the clearance... I'd recommend 8 tooth drivers if you can fit them in.

In Colorado we have copious amounts of light, fluffy, deep powder. I converted my 07 M1000 this year to the '09 rear skid with a 80 durometer (standard) Powerclaw...................flippin great track!! Hands down the best track I've been on by far.

(BTW.........you can still get stuck though.........I know.............I've seen me do it :D)

after riding w/ both through out the year in the same condiitions i liked the 90 on the hcr better.. which is why i ordered one for my TD8. the harder compound didnt hinder the sled hardly at all in the softer fluffier snow, and in the more set up snow it was a night day difference which one was faster.

I'm getting ready to do the same change and a'm not shure if the track will clear in the tunnel using 8 tooth drivers based on mountain horses calculations we need 7 tooth which increases the attack angle which I dont want I measured the stock D-8 track and its like 2.5 OD on a single ply ,,,can some one measure the OD on a powderclaw for us???dont really want to do a drop and roll!!!!!

MMM,its going under my new IQR.Trying to build as light as possible and it is about 7 pounds lighter than the camo X. But I am keeping the 797 built last year with the camo X. Really want to see which is best!

I paid $540 shipped for mine from Ken's Motorsports in Wisconsin. I don't know if they still have any but it is worth a shot.
