Power adders for 2002 Ford F250 V10

My brother bought a Ford crewcab with the V10. He was asking me what I knew about upgrades in power for them. I told him I'd ask on here, never let me down before!!lol

He was thinking a chip/programmer, exhaust, cold air intake.

Any recommendations for manufacturers?

Kevin

Had a 99 F-350 V-10 5 speed manual and an 02 2500 Duramax with a 5 speed full billet ats auto and I must say, the V-10 would pull circles around the max. Neither would touch my 7.3 though!

Thanks for the replies, now I remember why I don't come to this forum much anymore!

It used to be that I would get serious information, not by a diesel!!lol

I work at a ford dealer and I must say if he wants more power he should probally do all of what you mentioned above exhaust, programmer and air intake. Only reason I say this is for each one you do you only gain alittle, not like putting the programmer or chip in a deisel and gaining 100hp. What year did he buy and how many miles are on it if you don't mind me asking. Some of the ealier ones had a problem with blowing plugs out of the heads.

It is a 2002 F250 Crewcab. It has about 130K on it. He's looking for a little better towing for the fishing boat. Pulls great on the flat but could use a little for the hills.

Thanks,
Kevin

I have a RV with the V10 and had the Banks headers, complete exhaust, chip and trans command installed and it made a workd of difference. Might try that, it sure wasn't cheap but worth it to me
