Working on mounting the turbo and cannot figure out how to make it all fit properly. Since it is Sunday Obviously Dave is not around. Would love to talk to someone on the phone about this if anybody is willing. Give me your number and I will call.

Thanks

Kirk

I am too building a Nytro Turbo. We did have some issues as well, you have to think a bit like McGiver when Installing the kit. Some things require trimming and some small changes. I had my turbo installed on a CR tunnel but all the holes and dimensions are the same as far as the turbo is concerned. Mad Motorsports is installing my turbo. He's got some pics on my site under his profile of the turbo installation. He is deano670 on snowandmud. Dave is very helpfull and Im sure you will figure this out. Good luck

I dont see any pictures on your site under his name. care to put up a hot link?

Very good thread you have here. I believe i spoke to the gentlemen from iowa earlier this evening. The kit is with out a doubt tedious, and tough to fit all the pieces together. The biggest problem i had with the install was the air box pieces(as Dave calls it) and the muffler. Nothing a die grinder wont fix however on a brand new cr tunnel thats just been nicely anodized, i dont like to GRIND that sort of material. However it will be perfect before it leaves my shop.

Most problems have been with guys trying to mount turbo to far forward!
mount turbo as high as possible and have about 1/2"to 3/4"away from down pipe to cooler bleed bolt.
Mount aluminum tunnel hanger bracket against second rivet back like in picture.
If you need better full size pictures email us at powder.1@telus.net
Yes you do have to trim a little on tunnel where muffler goes out the back.
Make sure turbo assy. is as high as possible.

Powderlites...Suggestion

Dave,

Great to hear from you on this thread. May I make a suggestion...maybe rewrite the installation instructions for dummys? Everyone appreciates a great set of instructions, no matter how skilled they are. I've read alot of posts that say your instructions are a little ambiguos. I personally think that making the install easy for the customer via instructions would go very well with your reputation for excellent customer service, not to mention cutting down your question phone call volume. I plan installing your kit with the help of a master mechanic buddy of mine and I've got to admit I'm a little nervous considering the before mentioned posts.

Just my $.02.

The pic Id like to see Dave is of the muffler side. It would also appear in that pic that you have ground the tunnel where the exhaust clamp fits on the y pipe???

Here are some of my pics from the install as to how the exhaust fits, the air box and turbo hanger. Not bashing just trying to share with some fellow sled heads.

Ive said the same thing about other products as well. Do up an instruction sheet made for dummies. Also include an online version with large pictures so that you can zoom in on them if needed. So many times I see pictures in the instructions but they are so damn small you can barely make out what you are looking at.

I've taken about 100 pics so far, and I'm only down to having everything apart. I'll try to take pics when I start mounting it together, but off course I'm not sure I'll do it right, but I think I might be able with Dave's help to make some kind of intructions...
