powder special with 740 rotax

so yesterday i went a picked up a 1999 powder special 600 and the guy had took it to cpi and they put in there 740 racing motor and there light weight bulk head and tunnel with a 156 track and i got it home and its starts up but only idles for like 5 sec so i cleaned the carbs and put new plugs same thing so i tested the spark and its a yellowish white color so could it be the stator going out please help

Check for vacume leaks and that the crank isn't out of phase.

They could have fogged the motor which can/will foul plugs until cleaned out.

Did you call the person you bought it from?

How much gas is in the sled?

Is the gas on?

Sorry, but I gotta ask.

If I rememebr right if the gap is more than .018 this can lead to plug fouling on the older Rotax motors.

If so, get rid of it!!!

take it back to cpi, they will trouble shoot your problem, save you a lot of headache and guesswork that gets you nowhere....mike it easy to deal with and really knows his stuff... cpi, 801-829-5877
