Will standard powder coating hold up to the temperature of the heat on a aluminum heat shield for the pipe?

sort of... the high temp powder coating which i believe is good for an extra 300 degrees holds up great, but the standard powder coating discolors a little. i had a red heat sheild on my pipe most of the season with standard powder coat and it held up pretty good but lost the vibrant red and went to a darker cherry on the ends

That's what I was thinking......I was told by the powder coater that the standard powder is good to @ 250F, and the high temp powder isn't really for appearance......
