Powder coating over traction screws

Has anyone ever powder coated over traction screws on the running boards before? I want to go from flat black to semi-gloss black on my axys since the semi-gloss seems to shed snow/ice better than the flat black comparing to my other sled. But taking the traction screws out isnt a good option as I took one out and it didnt screw back in as tight as before. Thinking Ill have issues with stripped out holes if I take them all out. Just wonder if I can powder coat over them if they will still have enough traction and bite on the screw heads.

Id think you would still have good traction. And it will eventually wear through the coating

They still will grip fairly well, issue is is because the powder will be super thin around the screw heads it will start flaking off fairly easily and chip away. taking them out sucks, but if you take them out and loctite them back in you should be good to go. Its a lot more of a task but I think you will be much happier with the end results.

Turned out good. Have solid traction still at the screw heads, and the powder coat blended into the base of the traction screws nicely.
