Powder coat

Has anyone powder coated the stock a arm, if so how did you get the yellowish bushing out of where the arm mounts to bulkhead.

I used por15. Worked well, plus you can do it right with the ball joints in. It's suppose to be just as strong as powder coat. Only down side is you can't get any crazy colors. If your doing a regular color like black id strongly recommend it.

They come out. I think I used a 15mm craftsman socket on an extension. Make sure you push them out the right way but it shouldnt be too hard. If you wreck them I have bronze ones made by Zbroz in stock.

Spokane RMK... I hear ya.... I had the Por 15 on a bumper on a pickup truck.... it held up well... and went a bit 'dull' on the shine after a long time.... the paint is still sticking on the bumper even though it is not very shiny.

My sleds don't receive anywhere near that kind of sunshine and any parts I've done with the POR-15 on my sleds remained shiny.

I have used Chassis Saver which is pretty much the same thing as POR-15.

With Chassis Saver, they have a UV Stabilizer you can mix in for items that are exposed to sunlight.

I have not tried the additive since I mainly used the coating under my trailer and on a gooseneck hitch on my plow truck. I did paint my hitch on the enclosed trailer without the additive and it has faded badly.
