Potential doozer buy
Hey all, my neighbor has an '03 700 (non-rev) he said he'd sell to me for like $2000. I was gonna maybe offer $1,500 and see what he might say and hopefully not offend him. Sled has little use and basically just sits year round (from what I've seen). I know $2000 would be a steal for an '03 but maybe he'd flex some given the economy and the off season right now, not to mention he said he's getting out of the sport and recently sold off his rev for a bargain to some guy. Anyways if I make a serious decision to buy in the future would this machine be full of headaches or can I rely on it. I remember hearing and reading about some ski-doo models having motor issues more specifically something with piston ring failure. Any significance to these claims? How does this chassis compare to others from that era? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks
