Posting pics 101

Very frustrating! I managed to post a couple pics in the trash bin but I used the insert function and it worked about 1 out of 20 out of my stored pics on my lap top? I also have a photo bucket account and can't figure out how to make that work either.

How do you post full screen pics?? Help me I am retarded.

Photobucket is the easiest for me. When you go to post there is a postcard looking icon. If you put your mouse over it it says "insert image". Click that and then erase the http that comes up in it. You won't need it with photobucket. Have your photobucket account open and go to the pic you want. When the drop screen appears highlight the direct link and right click. Hit copy and then go back to your insert image page and paste it there. when you hit enter it will apply it to your post. I know that sounds like a lot but if you play around with it a little you'll get it.

on your photobucket, when you go over the picture it should have a lil drop window that opens below the picture. Click on the bottom code and it will highlight it. Right click, copy, then in the reply window right click and paste. Just remeber if your going to do more then one pic to hit enter and put the 2nd code on a new line other wise the pics will post left to right in stead of up and down.

I've found the attatchments manager on this site to be very poor to work with, my pictures are always too large for the j.peg limits. I know you can resize them to fit and such but I haven't done it enough to be good and proficient with it. I think the resized pics lose some detail too. The photo gallery on snowmobilefanatics.com is much easier to work with.

I have started using photobucket to show full size pictures of engine parts and a track I have for sale here on the forum. I don't remember exactly how to get there, but there is a spot once you create an album, upload your pics, give them titles and descriptions, and name your album, it gives you the option of e-mailing the pics or copying the link to your album so you can paste it into a PM or forum reply or another e-mail etc. You can choose photobuckets general invitation to veiw the pics in an e- mail or customize it with your own words and descriptions.

Hope this helps!
Mike
