North slope of the Uintas. Really starting to get pretty. First shot is our destination shot from the back deck of our cabin. Also check out the Forest Service sign that says "Steep". They forgot to add "and Loose". Was a great ride with all the colors.

A shot from the back deck:

You can thank the Boy Scouts for this scenery:

Doesn't look steep. So away we went:

Guess what? It did get steep. Oh yeah, rocky too.

I came back to rescue. I stopped above to listen and no sound so I knew she was in a pickle. She bounced off the big rock on the right and landed where you see her in the pic. Yikes!!!!!!!!

This is the best. I somehow go my bike to balance so I could climb above for a pic. Oops, it fell on her.

I made her go back and do it again for this pic. The first time she had water going over her helmet. She was a little mellow the second time. Ha Ha

Ending shot from the road. That's where we were.

grear pics:beer;, what year is a that WR, i thought they all had a light on the back?

Sure wish my wife would ride a bike, i know those TTRs are much easier to ride for the ladies....ill be ready to ride the dunes this coming wednesday and thursday, should have two other dudes in my truck, Boss always calls in sick and the last second, he's jsut terrified of the mighty honda and the arse kicking it will put on him:D

FYI, im wife is a ATV nut, loves her grizzley and KFX 700...athough the baby thing has her sidelined for now

Later and keep posting more pics of places i dont know of, hell ive onlt really ridden AF and dusty crappy 5 mile pass....this is why i love the dunes so much

love the pics with the bench!

that boulder trail looks like a riot! 3rd gear? hahahaha might break two ribs on that one!!!

man! what a beautiful sight the fall colors are! we gotta get out again quick!!!

PS im jealous about your cabin back yard!!! thats awesome!!!

Hatchers: Hers is a TTR 230. She stepped it up from a TTR 125 this summer. Hard to believe just 3 months ago I was teaching her how to shift for the first time. I'll throw a Baja light kit on Next Spring.

Phatty: The day you hit that hill in third I want to be there for your "last ride". Oh my God the bench shots. We have some gooders I didn't post. Kind of like Forest Gump huh. I told Jeanette they put them there for when we get older and need breaks. We'll be riding into our Senior years now.

It was actually fun to do a tamer ride that allowed time for pics. Other than the STEEP friggin section.

All in all it was a fun first year for us on bikes. Still kicking myself for not doing this earlier in life.

"Boulder trail"

Is that the trail south east of Whitney to the lookout point? Looks familiar:D

Well if she is an ATV nut she would prefer the bike when yer kid/kids get older. So much more fun to go fast and pick a good line. I like how aggressive it is and all the mental work that goes into riding a bike. We fly by ATV's all the time, not that we are in a hurry or anything, but we just can, ya know? Gotta get away from their DUST!!! I like how much fun the bike is. We have ATV's and they are the transporting rides to my parents to drop off the kids before we take out the dirt bikes. 4 Wheels MORE DUST!!! 2 Wheels LESS DUST!!! I like that part too.;)

I understand the baby thing and being sidelined. I went through it three times and now I'm trying to catch up on some lost time.:beer; We have many rides with the babies in a baby pack and riding our ATV's around. You gotta do what ya gotta do.

Awesome pics!!! I've really missed riding in the high and dry mountains. I lived in Boise before Anchorage and I got to do lots of similar riding.

Bossrev, Leroy gave me your number and I'll give to a call as so as I have a rear wheel. I also have to check and see if I have my jet kit in my tool box I have with me or of it's with my household goods which I won't get until early oct.

80 degree's by Wed. but anything at this point is GREAT!!!!!!! The more moisture the better.

Jet kit and regearing today. Need more dirt time to test er out.

You guys that play 12 months outa the year really annoy me:mad:

Pretty pix Ron.
Thanks Kev

That's what I used to say too. Finally said screw it, and bought one of everthing with a motor. Can you say "depreciated assets"? OUCH!!!

Yea Im in the passive market for a bike. I have to walk real careful there my kids all have 4 wheelers and definitely don't have the skill level to do some of that stuff, so ya get into the whole maybe this isnt the ride for you...I have 2 mos. of marriage counseling under my belt, you wouldn't believe how many times we have talked about snowmobiling:face-icon-small-win
