Possible injector failure?????

Have seized the mag side twice now. Both times were on short maybe five to eight second wot pulls. Egts and afr were both on the safe side.(1040* and 11.4) Any ideas? ? Sled ran like a top for 1800a miles before the first seize then about 400the before the second seize. Both times the pto piston and cylinder look brand new. Any ideas? Has anyone ever had an injector fail? This is on a 09 m6 with the Cutler stage 2 kit 9 lbs on AV gas. Thanks for any replies.

Check crank seal, have injectors flushed, check bottom of intake boots for cracks/leaks, check power valve cables for sticking.

Power valve cables, intake boots and crank seal are all good. Pulling injectors to have them tested.(not sure of the procedure but a local diesel place said they can do it.) I made numerous pulls on lots of different days of 30+ second pulls with no hiccups then both times it goes down on short bursts? Ive had and seen other engine failures before but not on short little bursts.

you sure your not just loosing spark, change plugs, check plug wires, caps on tight etc... or maybe a spike in fuel pressure. Does it run even or drop the cylinder, usually even a slight amount of extra fuel will drop a cylinder, I would think if one stuck it would foul it quick.

could you describe it a little better, ie your cruising along, do you notice anything??, then it just shuts off like you killed it????

BD had problems running out of power to the injectors?? I would call cutler 1st

Both times starting on hill climb wot for 5-8 seconds then done engine dies. The first time it seized it was locked sold could'nt pull the rope. This time it pulled over right away and started but then died after 5-10 seconds now won't start, but it was never locked solid like the first time.

Have talked to Dale but he did not assemble this kit he just sold parts to tony zollinger and they assembled the kit. Dale has helped as much as he feels comfortable with not knowing whether the ecu has been reflashed or the parimeters of the fuel controller.

So it still wont start?? whats the compression, do the pistons look good, kinda trying to piece together what is going on any more info or tests you have ran would help

Compression is 50psi on the side that went down. Havent had a chance to pull the head yet but looking through the y pipe I could see no visible damage on the exhaust side of the piston. The motor will start but it sounds like shhhiitt and will die after about five seconds.

I would say you found the problem, maybe a stuck ring?? hope for the best. That seems real low, I've scuffed them pretty bad and still got 90+psi.
