Porting w/ twins Question

I

IDAHO HOT SHOT

So at the end of last season I sucked a V-Force reed petal into my exhaust causing an assumed burn down. So while I had my sled torn apart, I decided to have it ported. I am running SLP twins on an 09 800 RMK with Carl's 30% head cut. It ran very well last year. I do not have a map for the porting because it was done by a third party. I rode it today and was consistantly about 1000 RPM's short. This seems very drastic for just porting considering that Carl's has the same fuel map for their porting as their standard twin and head setup. I did not check the plugs(duh, not sure why) There were a few times that it actually ran out and totally ripped. So when major porting is done, does a sled typically need to have more fuel added or less. I'm confused as to what to do. I was hoping I wouldnt have to buy a Power Commander because I was hoping to make it through this season with as little cost as possible and save up for the Pro. Please help

iam sorta in the same boat but i have a d7 with slp twins my sled yester day ran like crap no check engine light nothing it sucked all day but as soon as we started heading home it ripped, and its been running good up until yesterday

Just a couple of things I have done to get mine running consistantly:
NGK BR9EiX plugs gapped to .023"
Found loose fitting caps both at the plug and the wire, so unscrew cap,cut 1/2" off, screw it on tight with some dielectric grease at both ends of plug cap.
Do a good job of sealing silencer to bellypan, easiest from underneath.
Found primary spring slightly contacting spider spring cup, just flipped spring.
