Porting Maverick ??? yea or nea??

From what I have seen, the only benefit to porting a track is more lubrication on the hifax and better excavation from the center of the track. They tend to dig in instead of float slightly more than a non ported track. They are lighter and reach max velocity faster, but on the hill.........no big difference.:)

I put 1 1/4 hole in middle on my apex this year to test and so for so good. I also west to 8 inch 2 wheels and mtn tamer rear susp. at same time , it works great but lots of changes all at once, hard to really tell. I really wanted better hyfax life with no bogie wheels at all , so far good! The biggest difference i noticed was when you blow through the travel in the rear you dont get the air pressure built up and false bottom feel in the rear.

I have ported last two tracks. No problems, track ported on Nytro, all good. The best advantage is that if you are momentarily lost, ( men don't get lost) is you can recognize your track by the port holes. Once I was tree riding and was in a valley I didn't recognize. In the next valley I came across my track from the previous week. Followed it a ways and was back on track.
