Ported Nytro Head...

I know alot of you are wondering...here's what a ported Nytro Head looks like...not sure on performnce gaines yet, but it will be dyno'd when it's put back together....

How much did you take out, about even with the gaskets etc? This is something I've been thinking about as well. Are you running this on a turbo sled or N/A?

How did the head look stock OBR? Was it pretty decent or what? Had mine off to put the head shim in but you know I didn't even look.....LOL!

M5: I'm not sure...not my sled...this will be N/A tuned with pipes and so on....Trail sled sea level application...

TOPGUN: Nothing wrong with the head when it was taken put as far as I know...I guess heads look good on these sleds as long as you change the oil...

Not sure if this sled even has over 2000 kilometers....

I'm looking forward to see how this sled will perform...he's probable spent as much as you'd do on a turbo already, but the gains will be far from a turbo...

If he gets 160 hp out I'd REALLY be surpriced...

I wouldn't be surprised if he sees pretty close to that. The stock header restricts the top end on these the primary tubes are too small something in the 1.5" range will necessary like an Excell or Hauck or whatever, also he'll likely need to rev it over 9K but I'd be surprised if it doesn't do at least 155 HP. Did you talk to Dave about and RB3 with this setup?

yes the nytro motor makes the most hp between 9000-9300rpm.the snowcross sleds are suppose to make over 160hp.if you bumped the compression a bit to it would help it allot to so you would run 91 or 93 oct
 
Haven't talked to dave about this, but it could be interesting to see what the RB3 could do on it...I might need to get him one of those...

IF it puts out 160+hp, than Kudos to him. I'm no expert on internal motor work, but I've been told some off the stuff done to this perticular motor might not be the best thing to do....we'll see when he gets it put back together... I still can't se the point in N/A tuning one of these sleds, but I'm a bit Biased on that topic, so take it for what it is...I only know turbos, so who knows how much he can get out of it??
