Every year it is something.

It usually goes away (for the most part) when the snow starts flying.

Would you trust any of you? I am willing to listen to people that are willing to be mods. They have to have a track record of level-headedness and following the rules. That narrows it down DRAMATICALLY to, like, two members.

I'm curious, though, do you find the dearth (not darth ) of mods here to be a hinderance or a help? Do you enjoy the reduced supervision or feel that we need more? Just wondering what your take is.

Make a political section if you want, or don't. I can think of a lot of threads I never read, and would delete, that have nothing to do with politics

But, I want a science section also.

If they created a new section for each topic, there would be 200 different sections of fouled plug.
We would have one for BS
One for politics
one for science
one for beer
one for conveyer belt controvercy
one for porting
one for rep
the list goes on and on and on...............


oh, and I personally think the mods are doing a fine job.

There you have it..... we officially can't talk politics anymore!!!! And here I thought having discussions would lead to people hearing opinions and opening their eyes to many different points of view. Maybe some letters to congress. You know..... some tea Parties. Maybe some grass roots movements like the recent Town Hall meetings.

This must be the same scenario for the Land Management section or anyone who posts up info on SAWS.

Screw it..... it's all useless I guess.

No politics, we'd have to delete land use also. Land use is nothing but politics. No wonder we are loosing land at an astronomical rate.

Maybe we could make it like the insurance commercial.

We could have a hatchers section.
A Ruffy section
A Wade section
A Ollie section
etc.

Be kinda lonely talking to myself, except when the mods stop by.

I've yet to find a forum that pays its mods anything.

SW Admin just doesn't trust any of the inmates here enough to give them more privs

Honestly, of all the forums i'm on, SnoWest has the fewest mods of any of them. Even the ones a quarter of the size.

Well, I was figuring that since they seem to let the inmates run the prison for a while and then the SWAT team comes in every so often that Big D and Admin must both be Employee's of the magazine. Explaining some of the "oversights" , but I could be wrong and it wouldn't be the first time.

I can't imagine the amount of time it would take 2 or 3 people to try and keep tabs on everything on this forum, and I'm guessing that they could probably use a hand with it.

I've seen other forums that I'm on have all sorts of crazy rules set up, and that would take away from a lot of the fun here, but you don't see the ever present whining there either.

Fouled plug is just for this sort of thing. It is a collection of "Mixed bag" posts.

If your going to have a politics thread then how about a section for:

- Fishing
- RElationships
- Rep
- Got hosed by
- Jobs
- Conspiracy (H2 would dominate this section)

Why not put every conceivable topic in its own section?

That way there would be no conversation on anything unless you happen to click on the right section

I for one like to bump into weird things, like H2's conspiracy stuff, or NightTrain's "I got a weird text" thread.

You don't have the opportunity to bump into these threads unless you go through dozens of sections.

If a topic has no fourm interest, it dies on the vine and goes to page 2,3,4

If you do not want to read the topic, don't click on it.......

I tend to think that my threads aren't of a political nature at all, but more of an overall to whats happening as it pertains to stuff like One World Government....prophecy etc

which by the way affects everyone ! regardless of which flag you fly

You are making the assumption that people care about more than what's directly in front of their noses.
That is why we have a section devoted to trying to save riding areas that no-one ever visits because (as is the case with the country they live in) they don't care. That is until it directly affects them, then they expect everyone to jump to their defence.
