POLL-Do we need a Political section????

Isn't it about time we set up a Political section? It gets tiresome weeding thru all the BS and political propaganda that is getting thrown into the mix lately.

Chat all you want about your political beliefs and you would know where to go to meet like minded people interested in further discussions on the topic.


I for one would like to see it all grouped together.

Uh huh.

The other big forum i'm on has one.

The smaller ones don't, but there's not a lot of traffic/posts on there so it's not as big an issue. SW's just getting big enough I think it could benefit from dividing the forums down a little more.

Now if the mods would spend some time and sort/move the active threads into their respective subforums.... but that's a post for a different thread.

I couldn't care less. I sometimes enjoy sifting through a propaganda thread, it can be fun. But sometimes they piss me off when I'm watching other threads and those political ones keep popping up and bumping them to the second page.

Oh well, its something I can deal with either way.

Not sure how one rep thread which is more like a lounge compares to dozens of politicaly themed threads? Not saying get rid of the threads just put them all in one spot.

Yes, I was on the rep thread right alongside you most of the time... but I'm not the one complaining right now Politics is a hot topic right now so it is a popular thread starter in the section it belongs. Now that I have had a few cups of coffee tho, I would have to agree with you that a political section would be good.

Talk about too many forums, I'm sometimes on Hardcore Sledder.com and there are so many forum topic headings it gets confusing, and similar discussion topics get posted in multiple forums as a result.

As one who regularly likes to get into heated discussions on the subject, I wouldn't mind having a sub for politics.

I'm on a couple different forums setup like that and to tell the truth it works out well.

However, I've also come to believe that SW although a very busy forum doesn't necessarily have the funding to have paid mods pining away at making sure the threads are in the right spot.
