Poll to see if there is any or more damage to those with aftermarket A Arms vs. factory A Arms. This is for Axys Pro RMK sleds only. If you have any damage at all, even to just your factory AArms please list specifics.

Thank you!

Apparently quite a few folks have been out based on the number of posts from people that have bent their factory A Arms and also those that have gone to aftermarket A Arms. Nearly all my friends have been out once or more already. One of my friends was out for the 2nd time this weekend and bent a factory arm. It will be interesting to see if those that bent factory arms went to stronger aftermarket arms with no issues. I have not seen a single post yet where someone damaged a bulkhead or tunnel but I have seen a lot of posts regarding A Arms. I do expect to see some damage from extremely hard hits but I think these sleds will hold up better than some people seem to think.

I voted for my riding partner who has an axys but isn't on Snowest. He hit a stump and a log a couple weeks ago and bent 3 out of 4 zbros a arms. The one side hit so hard I thought for sure his tunnel would be bent. I bent my pro tunnel on a similar hit. Luckily everything looked good. I think the tunnels are definitely stronger in that area on the axys. But time will tell.

I bent both stock lowers in the rear of the arm and both were substantial hits with no tunnel damage. I replaced with alternative impact and was good for a few rides but i hit a hidden rock very hard and bent the lower left arm in the same spot as the stock ones but still no tunnel damage. All impacts threw me off the sled I'm pretty impressed that I haven't damaged the bulk head or tunnel yet.

Sorry, I screwed it up, thought it was an opinion poll based on most have not ridden yet. I voted for number three.
Should have voted twice for stock arm bent no other damage, based on the two guys I rode with who hit something.

SO....To get back to the title of the thread

Bulkhead or tunnel damage-aftermarket A Arms

Anyone have any bulkhead or tunnel damage from stock OR Aftermarket arms... anything that is more than "I heard of a dealer, with this one customers friends cousin"

I'm interested to see the durability of the chassis... the A-Arms have already been discussed....Just my $0.02

Photos would be great!!

Jeesus well this answers the question pretty definitively!
But what it really proves is you should ride somewhere without as many rocks and stumps!

Exactly, This can be related to a lot of things in life, such as;

Just because you can, does not mean you should-

Sleep with someone just because they'll let you!
Take a loan out just because they approved it.
Take a job just because you got an offer letter from them.
Order another round just because the bar is still open.
Consider someone a friend just because you've known them forever.
Do Not Assume others (including spouse and family) have your best interest at heart.
Just because they ask for your honest opinion does not mean that they actually want your Honest opinion.

Ride your sled just because the ground is white.

and many more, but I digress.

To get back to the topic: has anyone damaged the bulkhead or tunnel of the AXYS RMK?

I have a 16 axys with a yarded tunnel. Waiting on Polaris and dealer to find out cause. I haven't really hit anything that is out of the norm and no major hits or jumps. 200 ish miles on sled I won't elaborate or post pics till we get to the bottom of it but I will keep you guys informed what is determined. All stock front end. Before everyone gets in an up roar I should add that the dealer and Polaris ar working diligently on this and being very supportive. I have no complaints and am very pleased with the way things are being handled so far.

I have gotten a decision from Polaris and thought you guys might like to know. I am not posting this to start a frenzy just to let people be aware. I had to make an insurance claim instead of a warranty as the damage was deemed an impact not a manufacturer defect. I would like to thank Polaris and the dealer that I am working with for putting in the effort to try to resolve this. There is an impact point on the sled and I can't for the life of me figure out how it got there. I have not hit anything hard enough that you would think it would have done this but there is always a first for everything. I didn't even know it was damaged till a week after my last ride. in the shop I noticed a crack in the tunnel on the clutch side between the driveshaft and the footwell. After tearing into the sled a little more I noticed the side of the tunnel behind the secondary clutch in between the drive shaft and jack shaft was crinkled. I wouldn't have even tried to get it warrantied with that kind of damage but I couldn't think of anything that I hit out of the norm. After investigating there is an impact point on the sled and although it is small it could have hit just right. I am not worried about the integrity of this sled one bit and feel this was a fluke deal and **** happens. I was also informed that they have not heard of a single axys platform that has had this happen to it. I would like to say once again this is not a bash on Polaris but I am using it as a learning curve and to let others know to check that area on there sled after a hard impact to the bottom of the sled to see if others have it happen to them. Like I said once I get this sled back I am not going to worry even one bit of this is going to happen again and I don't think you guys need to either. Be sure to check your sleds after impact and be honest with your dealer as to what happened and if there is a string of them that happen to be bent after some time then maybe it is something that would need to be addressed latter on. I personally feel that won't be the case. So on a lighter not since my sled will be down for a couple weeks enjoy the snow and save me some zones in the meantime.

Are you comfortable with posting pictures of the damage now? Would be interesting to know what to look for and where to look for those who may have had a substantial impact.

Hooked a rock with the right side spindle last week. Picture is of the lower right side control arm. In the other photo you can see my tunnel is slightly high on the right if you compare it to the seat. I definitely didn't expect any A-arm to hold up to the impact but i was surprised that it tweaked the tunnel... I wasn't going very fast but i was on the trail and had just hit the gas to side hill up so i was on the power.. I got it on my go pro I will see if I can upload the video.
