polishing my tunnel

i need a good step by step on polishing my tunnel, sanding what grit(s) and buffing what brand is the best i heard a lot of people use mothers. thx every one.

Looka at the box that says "search" You will find all you need to keep you busy for a while.

i would suggest just getting some mothers and see if you have the dedication it takes to polish. see many posts where people think its gonna be a couple hour job and give up before they even spend that much time. you will be spending hours the first time to get it to come out even half way decent...

How do you get scratches out. I'm attempting to polish my tunnel and with all the scratches it looks terrible!

nothing worth having is easy

Dull aluminum and flat black look sick together.

polished aluminum and gloss black is just plain sinister

remove all polish. wet sand with 600 (if scratches still present drop down grit until only sanding marks are visible),wet sand 800, 1000, 1500, 2000. wet steel wool 0,wet sw 00,wet sw 0000. apply polish with sw0000.
my bike took weeks because it was coated. i started with 120 grit. i can't wait to do my sled!

I prefer the dull look of aluminum rather than glossy and bling bling myself. Dull aluminum and flat black look sick together.

I prefer it because it doesn't take the hours it would otherwise to polish it... ><

Been there done that, looks great...doesn't do a damn thing in the snow but turn dull again in a few rides. ;)

Its good for keeping you busy, thats about it. Or to have a cute looking sled... :P
